Decentralisation and Localism Bill

A package of reforms that the government says will devolve greater power and freedoms to councils and neighbourhoods, establish new rights for communities, makes radical changes to the planning system and major reforms to social housing.

A range of measures are set out in the Bill under 5 key areas. These areas include:

• Decentralisation and strengthening local democracy
• Reform of Planning System
• Social Housing Reform
• London Governance
